God of All Comfort

Tony is an area representative at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Lincoln, NE, where he develops relationships with coaches and athletes towards the end of seeing them prosper in Christ, and in turn bringing the Gospel message to those within their sphere of influence.

As we gather for corporate worship, we'll be taking a break from our study in Philippians to consider 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. We'll be so blessed to consider the truth of God's word through brother Tony Ways. Tony, a local staff member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, has been a part of Heritage for the last couple of years and in that time has been such a blessing to many of us here. God has taken he and his wife, Angie, through some very deep waters over these last few years. He will share some of this with us tomorrow and how God and His word remain his "only hope in life and death". It's fitting that we will sing this beautiful hymn tomorrow as we gather to meditate upon our God and remember these words:

What truth can calm the troubled soul?

God is good, God is good

Where is his grace and goodness known?

In our great Redeemer's blood

Who holds our faith when fears arise?

Who stands above the stormy trial?

Who sends the waves that bring us nigh?
