Dustin moved his family to Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2009 after working as a youth pastor in Virginia. He launched Heritage Bible in September 2009 with a core group of people who were determined to plant a Bible-based church in the Northeast area of town.  Pastor Dustin is a gifted teacher who loves the Word of God and people. He and his wife, Catherine, have three children: Dawson, Dylan, and Zoe. Dustin will be moving in August to be the lead pastor at Calvary Baptist in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

Mark, a native Nebraskan and part of Heritage Bible Church for well over a decade, has served as an elder since 2014.  In 2016, he left his career in financial services to serve the church full-time as an associate pastor.  While he very much enjoys the administrative and financial side of the work, his deepest passion is studying and teaching God’s inerrant Word (Psalm 19:7b).  Mark and his wife, Precious, have nine children and eight grandchildren (so far!).

Nick taught Bible and technology classes and coached girls basketball at Lincoln Christian School for 23 years. He has been on the leadership team since 2010 and served as a part-time youth pastor at Heritage for a few years and is now on staff full-time. Along with his role as a youth pastor, he oversees the assimilation, technology and media needs of the church. He and his wife, KC, have three children: Andre (married to Erin), Mariah (married to Connor), and Isaiah. He enjoys barbering, photography, music, fishing, reading, and spending time with KC and their grandchildren, Mattley and Jameis.

Joel and his wife Renee, have been with Heritage since the church was started. Joel grew up in Norfolk, NE as a pastor’s son.  He moved to Lincoln in 1986, after graduating from Duke Law School, and has been with Woods Aitken Law firm since that time. Joel enjoys teaching adult Sunday School classes, and he and Renee love planning and hosting church get-togethers. Joel and Renee have four adult daughters, Alyssa, Abbie, Anna, and Audrey.

Kent has been a part of the Heritage Bible Church family since 2016. He joined the leadership community as an elder in the fall of 2020. Kent is a man of integrity and is a respected realtor in the community. He and his wife Carissa enjoy hosting family, friends, and a small group at their acreage on the southeast edge of town. He also leads the GriefShare ministry and is involved in the music ministry. Kent and Carissa have 7 children in their newly blended family: Kaleb (married to Mayara) Andersen, Joelle (married to Torrey) Escamilla, Dani (married to Michael) Hoppes, and Ainsley, Deacon, Given, and Sullivan Valenta.  Grandchildren: Josiah Escamilla, Olivia Andersen, Lainey Jo Hoppes.

Jon was part of the initial launch of Heritage Bible back in 2009. He served as Pastor for Student Ministries and Worship. In 2017 Jon and his wife, Polly, moved south and Jon began work as a contractor. They moved back to Lincoln in 2019, and Jon started his own construction company shortly after. He came back on the Elder team in 2020 and currently oversees music ministry. Jon is the owner of Hess Contracting.  He and Polly have three children, Lola, Jackson, and Judah.

Al has been a part of the Heritage Bible Church family since 2013. He joined the leadership community as an elder in the fall of 2020 and specifically oversees the Women’s Ministry and Missions along with other ministries. Al is a prayer warrior and he co-leads a small group on the south side of town.  He is a well-known and respected dentist (Korte Dentistry) in the community and has practiced in Lincoln for over 30 years. Al and his wife Linda, have seven children: Zachary, Nataleigh, Seth, Caleb, Allyson, Abigail, Margy and two grandchildren.

DeAnn grew up just outside of Lincoln in Pleasant Dale.  She and her husband, Nick, have three children: Caleb (married to Alexandria), Kaylee, and Maddie.  She has been attending Heritage since 2014 and came on staff in 2019. DeAnn is a gifted administrator and works hard to serve and free up the staff and others to use their gifts.  She loves spending time with her family and serving alongside her church family and we are so thankful to have her on the team.
