Ancient Foes & Unlikely Heroes

After an opening statement reflecting the blessing that God had bestowed upon His people during their stay in Egypt, the text of Exodus quickly pivots toward their plight. With the rise of a new Pharaoh, their status as blessed flipped to oppressed. Inspired by an ancient foe, this new regime took direct aim at the people of God at full tilt toward genocide. Yet, in the face of this ancient foe, some unlikely heroes will rise to serve notice that Yahweh is on His throne and He will keep His promises.
